Hood Tire Shop
Framed Original 11.5” X 14” (Watercolor)
This one was inspired by an abandoned tire shop in Detroit, MI. I found the building intriguing and full of the old spirit the city once was overflowing with. I had to capture its beauty as a reminder of the energy I remember getting from Detroit as a kid. Some people fail to see certain places as the home they are to so many people, they instead just see a dirty, ghetto, run down area…but this place is sacred to so many. We embrace our home, and we love it for all its qualities; good and bad. That’s what makes a city unique.
