A painting to represent the Opioid Crisis. A dark story of greed, and the widespread effects that overprescribing and misusing Opioids has had on far too many individuals and families. In an effort to spread awareness, this painting shares a small glimpse into the role big pharmaceutical companies have played in driving this Epidemic. Let this painting bring attention to the overlooked similarities between street crime and white collar/corporate crime. I believe art is medicine for the soul, and I hope this piece will help to heal some of the trauma caused by this Crisis. Being aware of an issue is the first step towards change.
